Skull Cap vs Euro

There’s a third option (sort of).


Last year I shot a dinky whitetail after failing to turn up a mulie worth flipping off the safety at deer camp. Didn’t want to waste the time boiling the skull so decided to experiment with trying to make a better looking skull cap. A couple minutes with a sawzall and some peroxide made it look decent.

i don't like skull caps, at all, for several reasons. but the perception that always lingers in my mind is that you can mount two shed antlers and make it look like a skull cap.

a euro, to me, more explicitly says i successfully hunted this thing.

just a thing in my head though.

now, a shoulder mount, to me, says i'd rather spend money on mounting this thing than getting more tags and going hunting

Glad that is only in YOUR head. Why would anyone bother trying to ponder if a set of antlers was or was not resulting from a hunt?

don't take it so seriously.

the real crux of my opinion is that skull caps are lame.
