So I read that as no big game hunting for non-residents on tribal land but does that include private land in side the reservation boundary?
Maybe it's changed, but in my experience years ago, the Crow Tribal F&G was as corrupt as they come.
I know I'm a little late to this but tribal hunting regulations only apply on tribal lands. Montana FWP regs apply on non-tribal fee lands even when they are in the reservation boundaries. If it's private land like a ranch, and you have permission from the land owner, its treated like any other Montana private land that's outside of the reservation borders. You have to watch out for tribal land that is trusted to a tribe member, It will still fall under tribal hunting laws but may appear on maps as non-tribal private land. Though, I personally wouldn't recommend big game hunting anywhere within the crow reservation borders unless you are Indian. The crow people wont like it and will probably try to mess with you however they can.Just wondering if you can hunt on non-tribal private land within the boundaries of the crow reservation in Montana on a general deer tag?
