I must say that since trying lump charcoal, the flavor has been amazing compared to propane. I'm going to have to upgrade though from the $20 mini charcoal grill I got from Walmart.

I lost my last Weber to heavy snow year. The grill was located in the wrong position and got smashed as snow piled up on it from the roof. We found it in the spring.

It really depends on what I am cooking. Chicken is wood fire smoke, steaks are usually propane and ribs are pellet smoke…

I refuse to use propane. I’m all Weber kettle with lump charcoal and wood chunks. It’s worth the extra effort. Same with offset smokers vs pellet jobs. Anymore, I pretty much only use my pellet grill for 0-400 wings (highly recommended method)
