Does anyone have a first hand recommendation for a precious metals broker? With the recent high prices I'm thinking of selling off a few trinkets and coins.
Better yet would be a broker that is a member here!

I’m interested in knowing also.
I dealt with a private broker a few years ago with great results. He doesn't deal in the smaller quantity that I have now nor does he deal in jewelry. If you have a larger amount then PM me and I'll get you his info.
I do know that the mom and pop jewelry stores are to be avoided.

This precious metals and jewels stuff scares me. I don't know what I'm looking at, if it's real or not, if someone can be trusted, etc.
The average person has no clue what quality of silver, gold or diamonds they are buying. They just have to trust the word of whoever is selling it.

A few years ago I bought 110# of silver coins. It came in sealed canvas bags. I was told if I didn't open them and the seals were intact that when I went to resell them there would be no service charges to reinspect or recount. I kept them for a couple years without opening them and resold them back to the same broker. I did very well! He said that I was one of the few that didn't open the bags. It was not easy leaving them alone. Today they would be worth over 170k

I bought 25k worth of silver at $15.22oz and left it in the bottom of a safe pretty much out of mind. I’m half tempted to sell it now but can’t decide.

Silver broke $100.00/oz. yesterday.... I have been hearing by spring it will be 120 & 200 by Christmas. Ive even heard some that say 300 is possible later on....
A co worker has been on my to jump in ever since it was low 30's , I should have listened. I am kicking myself every day, lol.
A different Co worker, (who is over 59.5) turned his poor performing 401K into physical silver (via self directed IRA) & Quadrupled it in 24 months.
if I were you, I would hold on to yours a bit longer, & see how this goes.....it seems like its going to keep going up in the near future....especially with the current geo-politics, growing demand for silver in industry & the mining capacity, or lack there of.
Good Luck.

Man!! I started out looking for a trustworthy broker. Now I'm gambling that it's going to increase a bunch more. I think I'll hang for a while
I don't have that much to loose if it tanks.

I also have a gold laden piece of quartz made into a necklace. I haven't been able to get it appraised with anyone somewhat local. I'm thinking about selling it as a chunk of jewelry. I was offered $500.+ years ago just for the 24k gold chain it's on.
