Powder Question

Maybe this is a dumb question, but I recently bought an 8 lb jug of Reloader 26. I still have 3/4 of a lb from before, in a 1lb container. Same powder obviously. Is there any reason why I could not combine what's left of the 1lb er with the 8lb jug? I know there can be different lot consistencies with powders. I would think it would be safe, but I'm smart enough to seek more experienced opinions.

I mix the last little bit of powder with a new jug every time. I just shake it up really well. Never notice much difference

That small amount mixed in with the 8# lot should be fine.

Yes.
Per the manufacturers, pour the remainder into the new container and mix.
I usually turn it upside down, right side up several times.
