For those who've done extensive summer/pre-rut scouting in mountain regions, seeing bulls as well as having had success regularly finding bulls post-rut, are you seeing the bulls going back to some of the pre-rut summer areas where you saw bulls, assuming no major snow to drive them lower? Or do you see them in mostly new areas?
The pre-rut spots I see them regularly have cover (timber and far/hard for human eyes to see them), water and food all close so seem to have what they need.
I've focused on archery and know where they're at regularly during the summer, pre-rut and the rut, but haven't spent any real time scouting or hunting post rut.
