Shot this varmint with my compound Friday morning at first light in Southern, IL. 20 Yard chip shot, but I hit just a little far back, arrow passed thru and was blood soaked, but very little blood in first 50 yards of tracking, so we kept quiet, backed out and came back about 7 hours later. Not much blood to go on, but he was pretty obviously heading down a brushy creek bottom. About 150 yards on the track he struggled to cross a wash out and there was pretty good blood there, so we forged ahead and found him piled up about 3-400 yards from the point of the shot. One of my better archery kills, he's a clean 5x6.

Great buck congrats. On stand now in VA waiting on one to mess up.

Can't see pic and from the comments I really want to!! Congratulations anyway!
