I like shanks a lot. I just don't cook them often because of the long cook time.

Braised in some wine and onions then served with Polenta is one of my favorites.

Fajitas with Adobe sauce ia great too.

Tri tip sliders from leftovers off the smoker. Caramelized onions, Gruyère cheese and some horseradish mayo.

Was my first time doing tri tip. Will definitely do it again.

Grandson Bode’s close friend, roommate and hunting buddy Bryce, just won the Food Networks 100-chef cooking competition. His winning entrée was elk tenderloin with huckleberry sauce, truly a Montana meal!

He and Bode had produced a video featuring Bryce shooting a mountain grouse with his bow above our hunting cabin, then field dressing, cleaning and preparing in their apartment kitchen, roasting, then attractively plating it for the table. A wonderful Montana field-to-the-table video which brought Bryce widespread social media acclaim as a cook.
