Plate ‘em up

I need to buy a machine to make cube steak. Have had my elk round steaks done that way and chicken fried it. Just want to be able to do it myself. mtmuley
Meat mallet works good for me. Just take a roast cut and slice it 1/2” to 3/4” thick across the grain. Pound it out to anbout 3/8” with the spiny side of the mallet, then bread it and fry it. You can do schnitzel this way as well.

That’s how I pound my meat. I cover it with plastic wrap first so it doesn’t splatter all over the kitchen.

I got a hand crank cuber on Amazon for like $30 that clamps to the table. I love it and use it a lot.
This is the better option if you’re needing to do a large batch before freezing, For just a serving or two, the mallet after thawing gives a comparable result IMO.
