Permalyn users?

I'm cruising through the Model 70 stock revamp. I've been waiting on Brownell's for about six weeks now on the Pilkington's I ordered from them and am losing my patience.

Has anyone used Permalyn sealer and finish?

I'll post some pictures here in the next few days. The pillars are installed and the bedding job complete. The finish is stripped. I need to cut the stock down and sand more. The checkering is recut and turned out much nicer than the stock checkering was.

Once the stock is done I'll cut the barrel down and have it recrowned, then off to the range!

I also like it. It does take a lot of coats to fill the grain and I mean a lot.
