painting a rifle stock

I like to use rattle can bed liner as a base and paint color on top of that. Works well.

How well has the rattle can bed liner held up? Cuz thats exactly what im thinkin of doin as my base.

This thread gave me the bug to refinish my 93r17 ugly ass black plastic stock. First I was going to hydro dip it but my dip tank was too small. Then I painted it with dirt colored flat Rust-Oleum but that scratched very easily.
I researched the texture rattle can paint and this is what I ended up with. Time will tell how it holds up. It's my rifle that rides around in our side by side so it doesn't get the most gentle treatment.
