I sat out the sage grouse season this year for a variety of reasons, including down populations in the areas I've been hunting. I love these big birds, and the miles it takes to find them. So glad to see WWF & CZ team up together for this video.

Had two of those big bastards flush on me while commando crawling towards a pronghorn buck. Both about gave me a heart attack. Real cool birds. First year I've seen them in person.

I used to look forward to that hunt. Even had a really good way to cook them believe it or not. I stopped hunting them 19 years ago for personal reasons. Truly a bird of the old West.
