Our fallen

Elkchaser:

Good post.

Every day I look at the following site. Not out of morbidity, but to read the story of each person and know that some person and their family has made the ultimate sacrfice on our behalf. Not recommended for those already on depression medication.

God Bless them all!

I have a vested interest in this topic as one of my favorite kids from the fire crew joined the Army and has been over there for quite awhile

I haven't heard from him in awhile so look with dread almost every day at this site to make certain he hasn't joined the ranks of the fallen

He sees his duty over there as a necessary must, so I feel very privileged to know this young man and what he stands for

I also hope and pray he returns home safe and sound

That is a good site and thanks, I have put it on my favorites

I hope any more ar'nt lost when those other countries threatening the human rights of the free west are dealt with, just so I can highlight them on my map of the world , who are those countries again  Zimbabwe,Chad,Zambia, somewhere down in the Africas or is it only the one's with Oil reserves  .

Thanks for this,

A good friend was killed Memorial Day weekend 2 years ago

1st Sgt. Michael S. Barnhill 39 Company A, 6th Engineer Support Battalion, 4th Force Service Support Group, Marine Forces Reserve Folsom, California Killed when his vehicle struck a roadside bomb near Haqlaniya, Iraq, on May 28, 2005

He convinced me to join the Corp out of high school and he stayed in when I went in a different direction.
