I would be the first to admit the 2008 valuation was say, just a little bit ridonkulous for a average 4 bedroom house on a lot. Hindsight is a bitch though. Just a product of living in an area with 0 industry and everyone was just building everybody's elses house for a living.

I'd live in a shelter and eat in a soup kitchen before the sheds go!!!!
 
unless you need to stop owning a home, i consider that piece of paper good news, all it means is you pay less property taxes and if you ever need to sell and buy another home the scumsuckers err i mean realtors get less of a chunk.
 
The scumsuckers/realtors around here are swirling around the bowl.

I can see several places where people walked away and you hear even better stories of houses 100 times nicer than yours selling CHEAP!! Not a big area. Probably the same every where. Hopefully this is the bottom. This area always seems to be 1-2 years behind the curve though.

Spitz- Ya it was cash down, that is how a playa rolls. Meth lab in the crawl space also helps the cash flow.

My house value has dropped about 15% although it was only valued at $90K when I bought it. You still win...or I should say lose!

Man I wish I would`ve been able to relocate over there...
It`s more than twice that for the starter houses over here.
