Arrowed a big fat Hoosier whitetail doe last evening. Shot wasn't ideal and blood trail sparse, but stayed with it and found her in about 3-400 yards.
Had her dressed, skinned and hanging in a cooler a couple hours later. Will be some good chewin, and hopefully I can add a couple more to the freezer before season wraps up.

Sounds like fun! and good to get the doe tags filled before the rut so you can focus on the big boys!

There is not much meat any better than properly-cared-for doe white-tailed deer meat, for sure. I have shot 19 so far this year. 17 on depredation permits and two big fawns this month on an early center fire doe hunt.

Antlers make bad stew.

Congrats Steiny! Bowhunting is my favorite way to hunt deer here, but my schedule just doesn't allow much of it any more...

I miss back East whitetail meat!! Good for you!
My kids have a pocketful of tags if you want to cover processing/shipping! ;) :D
