Here in Ohio, one of my main hobbies is musky fishing. I live within a couple hours of some really great native musky streams in Ohio and Kentucky. I have lost bigger than I have caught unfortunately. My biggest from a creek to date is 48.5 inches, appox. 30 lbs. Musky fishing makes a good filler after archery whitetail before the creeks freeze, and early spring before turkey season. This is when I am on the water most of the times. Here are a few pictures of some of mine and the families catches over the last couple years.

Interesting that you look for them in creeks rather than bigger water. Is that by choice or are there not much in the way of big water that holds them?

I would rather fish the creeks myself. I'm about 1.5 hours from Cave Run in Kentucky and usually fish it several times a year. I've had good luck on it too. I just like the creeks because I'm usually the only one out there.

I always thought catching one would be cool. I guess they are sorta the wolf of the water. There are not many muskie here but i here there are some in some kentucky lakes
