NW Colorado deer units

Can anyone tell me about the deer hunting around craig colorado?? Are there any general hunting areas where a nonresident could have a fair chance at getting a 160-170 inch deer?? Never have hunted there before. Thanks

To my knowledge, there are no "General" units for mule deer in Colorado, at least not NW Colorado. If you haven't done so already, it might help to do some research on their website. Guys are inclined to be more helpful if you have done some research and have narrowed it down to a few areas.

Not sure if you have any points, or not, but you will probably need points to draw a tag in most of those areas.

If by general you mean easy to draw the answer is yes. 160-170 can come out of any GMU, but I know I saw deer of that size last year while hunitng around Craig for Grouse.

Best advise I can give anyone hunting the Craig area or anywhere is in the northwest during the rifle seasons is bring chains for all 4 tires

alot of units around craig take a fair amount of points i think
