That is just a cool buck. Ear tags, swelled neck and a heavy, palmated rack too boot. Let us know if you find out anything on the ear tags. I shot a buck in northern WI during the 2014 gun season that had metal ear tags. When I called the WI DNR, they were able to tell me the entire life history of the buck. They also asked me to mail back the radio collar. I said the buck didn't have a radio collar. The DNR official went back through the telemetry data and found out the radio collar had fallen off a couple months prior. Pretty darn neat.
