Can't count how many time's I've heard @Big Fin say shoot until he's down when it comes to Elk. Well, 4 160gr Accubonds out of my 280AI at 310 yards (angle corrected, he was over 200 feet below us across the drainage) put this guy down, my first ever elk. Heck, first branch antlered elk I'd ever seen, had never seen any elk at all until some cows and spikes about 10 minutes prior. 3 exited, recovered one in the offside of his hide. Performed beautifully, when he died he slid further down the hill than he moved after the shots.

That’s awesome. Almost looks like a muley rack on that one side. Also hunt for deer in TN with a Tikka 30-06 with 165 NABs. I handload mine, though... interesting symmetry there
