northern montana rut

When is the peak of the rut? I have had several different answers to this question. I am thinking it is similar to the elk rut. Third week of September...

If you're talking about white tail they usually start second or third week of November depending on the year from what I've seen

Peak I think is around the 3rd week may be a little later in the third week depending on year and area

I thought I posted the question in the Antelope forum... I am asking for antelope in Northern Montana. I was thinking the same time as you, but have had a few say it is late September and into October. Others have said the first part of September.

Last year in central Wyoming, they were going pretty good the second week of September. I only hunted 1 day, but saw multiple small bucks chasing 1 or 2 does. The buck I shot had a harem of 13 does he was tending; I got to watch him chase another buck out of the country before shooting him.
