North Yellowstone Flooding

Some crazy pictures coming out of the Gardiner/Mammoth area. Big time flooding on the Yellowstone and tributaries. The Carbella Bridge washed out. Gardiner-Mammoth Road is closed (see photo).

Yikes! I just looked at the water flows of all the streams in that area. Some are above the max gauge levels.

Anybody got a picture or video of the mad mile? And I bet there is somebody trying to kayak it too!

Boil order for drinking water in Gardiner. Road closed to Mammoth due to slides/washouts and 89 north closed due to same. My goodness.

I came home from Bozeman last week and looked at the forecast and looked at the river and said oh boy there is gonna be some MONSTER flows!! 15 years ago I'd be running that like an idiot! Haha

Just texted with a friend who lives on the bench east of rock creek by red lodge. Sounds like one of the bridges to access her house is gone and the other one is in jeopardy. Sounds bad!

That’s just horrible news. So many good people are affected, I have a friend headed to Red Lodge right now to help , his buddy owns The Yodeler Motel there
