They'll be saying the same about all the white painted cabinets 20 years from now. (Yes we have then in our house)

I think white painted cabinets will fair better.

Maybe we will look at shiplap like that in 20 years, though.

Spent the day doing demo work. I was happy to be asked to do this, and it was about the only time I’d rather be doing this than spring bear hunting.

The Pergo came out quick. On to cabinets.

It was hotter than hell and the AC wasn’t working, and I clocked myself in the head pulling cabinets off the wall.

Fortunately, FWP was not involved so I got done with no letters explaining how I screwed up but everything is fine.

Got the awful looking linoleum, pulled up, and the kitchen area is cleaned out down to the studs. Now it’s time to let the painters finish their work and then I’ll be back on Friday.
