Didn't draw bear or goulds turkey. Have put in for the gila and the pecos with a buddy for elk. Havnt done my other apps yet.

You say this jokingly, but a couple years ago I went 3/4 green on elk, deer and oryx. It was a serious problem, my boss wasn’t stoked

For those that are applying for Ibex, NMDW sent an email today saying they are eliminating the female/immature tags and reducing ES across the board due to population decline. Also eliminating the OTC of the Floridas as well... hopefully not too little too late.

I have never drawn a single tag in NM, got my apps in again this year though. I really want a javelina tag or a January archery deer tag.

LCH, Fellow Hoosier here. You should have seen how it was in the 90's & early 00's. I drew Valle Vidal then 6 other elk tags in consecutive years. NR Odds in the Pecos (45) were 90%, and for the full month season, not half. Truly the good ole days. Today I shoot for low, low demand units.

You can get a javi tag OTC when they go on sale in the summer, and I've had better luck in the otc units than I have had with the draw
