NM 6A Elk Help

I have mulled over maps and have a scouting trip next Monday. I know I late in the game of scouting but due to family and work obligations I haven't been able to get out earlier than this. Does any one have any areas that I should check out? This will be a archery hunt. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have not hunted 6A, however, I have hunted the Sargent Wildlife Area in 4 near Chama twice, once with a bow and the other with a rifle. Both hunts where in late September [last week]. Magical time to be in the elk woods. Hunters that I encountered that hunted the earlier hunt [2nd & 3rd week] had more difficulty getting on bulls. Hope your hunt is in that later time frame. Regardless, good luck. This year I was fortunate to draw 16A bow elk which is earlier in September. Hoping for an early rut.
