Newest US Senate Land Sale Amendment

Mike Lee is still tonight claiming you were all paid to oppose his theft and sale of your public lands. He and his team called us all marxists and communists. Don’t trust him on any sugar coated compromise he claims he’s proposing. He is not allowed some half assed apology and fake compromise. He will remove this garbage proposal. It’s time to beat Mike Lee.View attachment 375740
Seems this man doesn’t understand we all found his obscure Twitter account he tweets absurd shit all day on.
Think he’s too in the weeds to realize it but if he thinks that a bunch of people showing up oppose his dog shit ideas, they must be getting paid.

Says more about the way he operates than it does for the average joes.

I haven’t been around this forum much, but I’ve been lurking to keep updated on this. (Along with blowing up my representatives phones and fighting the good fight on social media elsewhere to educate and inform people.)

I just wanted to give a big thank you to BigFin for the updates here and the work he’s doing in DC. It’s much appreciated.

I've been on the phone a lot this weekend. Marcus and I came in early to produce a video that summarizes the situation, a situation that is moving very fast. That video will be up in the next hour.

Summary - Lee needs a deal. He's willing to say whatever he needs to in order to make it look like he's being reasonable. Any group that gives him an out is doing the wrong thing.

The "Byrd Rule" is being applied to his bill and we should know today or tomorrow what stays in and what is cut. Most agree the Montana carve out will be tossed when the Parlamentarian gets done applying the Byrd Rule. Most feel the bill gets even worse when that process is done, making it all the more important to kill this.

Please, keep in touch with your Senators. Do not let them cut a deal with Lee. The time for a deal was two weeks ago when he was approached with offers to actually solve some issues.

Be polite, be professional, and be persistent. This can be the week that will change where public land issues rank in the DC priority list. Now is the time to bring more heat.

Thanks for the update and all your hard work. It is greatly appreciated!
It is very hard for me to be civil regarding this issue, but when it comes down to it I know that is the only way to proceed if we want positive results. I have been doing my best to spread the word and request those I know to act accordingly no matter how apathetic or vehement they are regarding public lands issues. I even wrote a respectful letter to Mike Lee! Immediately followed by a shower...

Keep at it and keep us informed, it is very much appreciated.

It will be interesting to keep an eye on Daines over the next week or so once DT starts making phone calls. It seems highly unlikely the Montana exemption was added without his knowledge.

It doesn't. Never has, never will. All I've ever received are similar responses.
Same with Curtis here. His response doesn’t even mention the topic you emailed him about though. Just a straight form email.

Please everyone, let him steal 3 million acres from you, be reasonable!!!View attachment 375814
my reply would be "isn't it reasonable to instead pursue this via an exchange where that land that the developers would like to have can be sold and then the proceeds used to purchase a willing seller rural private parcel that connects to and expands existing federal lands in that location?" Results in a win all around doesn't it?

Nah, he would just like to take it for free sir.

I think they have the ability to do that currently with a law that's out there now.

This one lee is pushing is to open the flood gates and sell what he wants to his buddies

I believe it was added without his knowledge.

At the very least - it was put in to test the waters and the results are speaking for themselves.
