Newest US Senate Land Sale Amendment

Thanks Randy for all the time, effort and work you do to inform the communities this would effect and getting people off the couch and involved. Knowing Lee's history, doubt this will stop him from trying to keep pushing this cart up the hill every chance he gets. Hope he never finds a way. Still concerned he'll find ways to chip away at it even if he fails this go round.
He certainly seems willing to stake his career on selling public lands, it’s our jobs as Utahn’s to make sure he just did at this point. He really did piss of a ton of people that are VERY conservative this time in the state. Like I’ve seen people on my Facebook feed that absolutely are his voters posting about this. I actually very much feel like if the right person primaries him he is actually beatable because of this.

I emailed and left a voicemail for Senator Thune. I asked him to oppose it. I pointed out it would be another hurdle to getting the big beautiful bill passed. I also mentioned how Lee was alienating American Outdoorsmen by calling us Marxists and accusing of us accepting money to oppose.

I’m hoping a little extra pressure on Thune might just encourage him to tell Lee to drop it. Fingers crossed.

Done as well. Here is Senator Thunes DC Office. Ensure it’s full by morning.

Also, Pope and Young Club also on board:

Government is so broke that it needs to sell land to pay off debt and yet it would make sense to spend money to punch new roads into roadless area for timber harvest. 🤦‍♂️
The lumber mills are long since closed and gone. There is no infrastructure to restart any time soon. My guess is more posturing, with some underhanded kickbacks for a handful of entities, but not immediately apparent to the public what the ulterior motives are.

Anyone that could give a rundown on creating a PAC? Can I name it “Enemies of Mike Lee”?

I’d be just as or more concerned about mines at this point.

I'm hoping UT voters take him out in the next election cycle. A few other states have some house cleaning to do as well.

Bill Jordan and Realtree step in to oppose Mike Lee’s amendment. They rarely if ever have commented on issues like this. It’s significant they stepped in here. A staple of the hunting industry. If you can, visit their Instagram or Twitter page and thank them.

Isolated parcels? Can you imagine if the government forced easements through checkerboards and built affordable apartments on these ranches!?! I know that would be effed for valid reasons, but imagine how crazy the billionaires would be going if that was the actual plan!?! Their argument against it would be all about wildlife habitat.

Also, here’s dipshit’s compromise. Do not let him win.

Hahahaha! You know he smiled and got a warm feeling downstairs when he came up with the term “FREEDOM ZONE!”

It may be time to photoshop some low income housing onto some checkerboards.

He’s trying to masterfully use grey terms. Be careful people. This has to be an all or nothing stance.

I don’t live in Utah, and I know this is a lot of pressure, but everyone uniting against him in a primary would send a BIG BEAUTIFUL MESSAGE to all elected officials to stay away from this issue. It must be made clear now that people won’t vote for him. If you don’t cut out the dormant tumor, it will become aggressive again someday.
