Im sure these contracts give companies more outs than whether or not the individual becomes a felon. Folks can not break the law and still cause severe reputational damage to their image.

I don’t care about the court of law and innocent until proven guilty with this stuff - if you get caught up in any way shape or form in these alleged activities that’s strike three of three in one fell swoop IMO.

Too bad it’s pretty clear that society couldn’t give a rats ass about character and integrity anymore.

Ultimately, I believe he is guilty. I also believe in law and order, so innocent until proven guilty is also true. Which means that companies get to decide how they want to handle matters. People forget about contract law. What if on the small chance he isn’t guilty and companies dropped him. Couldn’t they be sued for breach of contract?

Things are not always so clear cut in life.

I didn’t feel like your comments came off wrong. You’re absolutely right that innocent until proven guilty. Sponsors have the right to follow along with that too and either get ahead of it or wait until the verdict is out.

On one of the podcasts I listen to they always say silence is still a language. Sponsors not saying anything about a situation still speaks volumes about what they think.

I know Lampers had relationships with Peax. Have they released a statement condemning Lampers? It’s been a week. Plenty of time to have ChatGPT work something up. Message received, loud and clear.

I know GoHunt had more than a few videos on their YouTube featuring Lampers. I do know Lorenzo released a statement on the matter, but as of 15 seconds ago I could pull up a simple “Ryan Lampers Gear List” search on YouTube and result number 1 was GoHunt. Message received, loud and clear.

How about Call? That video was pretty cringe, but what about his sponsors? Have any of them condemned him for his own poaching conviction? I mean shit, he even released a video describing the whole situation - then deleted it a week later. How many of his sponsors have dropped him - including Peax and GoHunt.

Is he and Call investors in Peax? I just recall he moved to Bozeman for some big project and then Peax started being everywhere a few months later. And him and Call were pumping their products every chance they got.

Look at it from a different lens - if he was under allegations of sexual misconduct, how fast would those sponsors drop him? Look at how fast that CEO was dropped for getting busted at the Coldplay concert - and adultery isn’t even illegal.

I always go back to the steroid scandal in baseball. Players like Barry Bonds that adamantly swore they never did roids but it was obvious they did always had a tarnished reputation. Guys like Alex Rodriguez and the Giambi’s who admitted using roids and everyone was like “yep, we know. thanks for being honest.”

If you tell an interesting story we would for sure, look at most of my threads. I don’t kill anything big ever. The secret is engagement. Drag it out, make it exciting, tell all the good and bad details, respond to comments. And a little humor always helps.

I’m in the “burn ‘em all” camp.

Yes, innocent until proven guilty - in the court of law. This isn’t the court of law, it’s the court of public opinion. I choose to spend my money with companies that share my same ideals and morals. So GoHunt and Peax remaining silent on the issue burns a bridge with this consumer (and subscriber until I can finish folding laundry and send GoHunt an e-mail to cancel my membership.)
