New threat to 2nd A?

Your first amendment right doesn't grant you permission to harass people in church either, turns out.

That remains to be seen. Incredibly stupid and counterproductive move IMO, but I think they will prevail in the end.

What is even more intersting and not in dispute is that news media has a right to cover such actions.

Today in the news...DOJ has arrested two media members ...who were covering protests.

This one has ran its course
We agree on this one. I appreciate the honest dialogue that was had, especially early in this thread, but it seems like the time it takes for everyone to retreat into their partisan corners is about 4 days. It's January and I found two ticks on my dog on Tuesday, so might as well get out and touch grass. ✌️

Thought I saw a bunch of them all over a little forky earlier this month, but concluded that had to be impossible this time of year. Chit.

I hope that anti-hunters don’t borrow tactics from these protesters and start exercising their free speech by using whistles on a more widespread basis. In the AI summary below, just replace “federal agents” and “ICE” with “hunters”.

I 100% expect the anti-hunting activists in Colorado to adopt the current anti-ICE tactics, if they haven’t already. Likely around contentious commission votes in March and May on a fur ban and furbearer/beaver management. They are calling for the elimination of CPW and the commission to be replaced with an activist body from the universities with no representation from sportsmen or agriculture. They have also resorted to death threats against CPW officers and spreading conspiracy theories regarding the deadly mountain lion attack on New Years.

The real threat to the 2nd slowly taking it away one bill at a time
Oh they aren’t done yet. Two more anti-gun bills launched this week. Expansion of red flag laws and further erosion of due process protections. Requirement that all purchase and transfer of firearm barrels through FFLs. Makes no sense, doesn’t serve public safety. Ghost guns are already illegal. Is being widely reported a ban on all NFA items including suppressors is coming next during this legislative session. Zealots in the CO Dem party know no bounds.

Intent is clear, slowly strangle and eliminate legal gun ownership through regulation. Penalize gun owners and the industry as much as possible. Further solidify Bloomberg-Everytown billionaire control of Colorado state legislature. Disgusting.

I was discussing the arrest of Don Lemon at the gym today.

While he will have to spend good money on a lawyer, there is almost zero chance he gets convicted of anything.

The old saw, I'd rather be judged by twelve, than carried by six, applies. Good luck finding 12 people off the street to agree that the press can't cover a protest.

I'm not a big fan of Lemon, but that is immaterial.

Interesting consideration. Next thing you know we'll have "Journalists" in high positions with the bloods and crips. Edit: upon more consideration, they probably dont want the coverage :ROFLMAO:

Ticks in January...maybe I should have done a thorough check after last week's hike in Elkhorns.
Crazy.

Opinions gets personal sometimes. A statement was made and one star reviews of the pizza place followed.

My personal thoughts are it’s the best in person pizza in Boise prior to the opinion. I’m not giving up good pizza. I’ll wear a disquisition and pay with cash to eat there with my wife.

That pedophile in the White House in a lot of ways is a black light to the American society. He is showing all the nasty bits that were there for the longest time but you couldn't see them. Now that you can, no one is willing to do anything about it. He is willing to take all your rights away and destroy the world while doing it.

There are nasty bits in every society, and always will be. If not, there'd be no need for jails, courts etc. Trump has managed to empower the anger and resentment of a significant portion of our country. I hope in time, a look in the mirror, will convince us to course correct.

I've mentioned before that I have been an avid horseback field trialer of pointing dogs. It has taken me from Canada to Georgia. I've met and know other field trialers from a large swath of the US and Canada. The epicenter of horseback field trials is the SE Untied States. It began there and remains centered there. One thing put me back on my heels a bit came after Trump won in 2016.

I had not heard the "N" word in casual conversation in a long time. Then all of a sudden there were a few who openly sprinkled it into their comments. I'd hear openly racist comments about both Obamas. Their racism was always there, but they knew better than to bring it into the open. Trump empowered them to be more open about their views.

Mankind will never eliminate racism, but hopefully we get back to the day, where it becomes more closeted again.

Trump and his voters are fairly convinced that his aggressiveness has caused us to be more respected in the world. I have my doubts.

... more respected in the world. I have my doubts.
More than doubts and clearly substantiated is the not only lack of respect, but now openly expressed disdain for the USA. Who would have predicted the move to a close alliance with China by Great Britain and the move toward India by the EU, clearly moves away from long established ties with the USA?
For me the disrespect and antagonistic attacks on our close friend, longtime ally, neighbor with common interests, and best trade partner CANADA, signals beginning of the worst ever era for the USA in the world order ... a time inflicting wounds which may never heal.
