New Mexico rio grande and merriams turkey hunt

I’m looking at traveling to New Mexico in hopes of harvesting a merriam and a rio the 2nd week of may. Not looking for anybody’s honey hole but would like some direction on which areas of the state have healthier populations of turkeys.

I've seen them everywhere that isn't desert. North edge of the state should be pretty productive. Southeast holds some as well.

Stright from g&f, i have seen tons in gila but are concentracted in certain areas. Not sure whats draw/otc so make sure you understand regs.
