Hey guys,

I have a few questions that I hope some of you can answer. As I read/understand it, muzzleloaders and rifle hunters are assigned a ranch- but they are limited to that ranch only and archery hunters can hunt public lands.

Q1- Do they assign ranches for archery hunters? If not-

Q2- How easy is it to access a private ranch in a unit if archery hunting?

I guess it would depend on the unit and the amount of public land. But, if I happened to draw an archery tag with limited public land, I was wondering how difficult it would be to access one of the ranches that allow public hunting during muzzleloader and rifle seasons?

Thanks

They do not assign ranches for archery hunts.

I would imagine that ranch access is going to depend on where you are and who you know. I didn't try. The reason that the ranches allow access for the rifle seasons is because they have to in order to get landowner tags. I'm not sure that will translate to easy access for bowhunters.
