New ID state record

I chased this record for a few years, actually unknowingly broke the previous record 3 days after someone else broke the record and was bigger than my 2.6lber. Anyway the 2lb 13oz record for yellow perch was broke earlier this week. Fish went 3.2lbs. Enormous perch in my book.

There was some money and other prizes that were put up this past winter for whom ever caught the new state record! There’s a 17”er swimming in that lake somewhere full of eggs that probably would break this record that was caught this past summer as the Catch and Release state record.
