Checking in from North Pole Alaska.
Love Interior Alaska - want to continue to hunt all of Alaska's unique offerings but starting to look outside to the lower 48 and even other continents a tiny bit.
Have dreams of Roosevelt Elk, Pronghorn and Bighorns - Rocky Mountain Elk will probably happen first.
Would love to get a Mule Deer with my dad before he is can't hunt anymore in South Central Oregon- you know the good part of Oregon East of the Cascades. (sorry from down there but I5'ers know it is true!)

Wouldn't mind getting a Columbia Blacktail to put next to a nice Sitka Blacktail one of these days too.

Goals - keep learning and get a Sitka Buck and a Mountain Goat. Then a Interior Grizzly. Emporer Goose is up there.
Then keep trying to draw Muskox and Bison. I have a couple friends who are trying to talk me into Africa and I would love to but have mixed feelings about it.

Lets see - Husband married 18 years, father of 5, slightly obsessed with my hunting dogs (still so much to learn and train) and want to get back into Sheep Country.

Welcome from way down south in central mississippi. If you ever want to come try anything we have down here message me and we can try to make it happen.

Welcome from Eastern Oregon. Start building your points it’s getting harder to draw a tag every year. I was in North Pole the first time about 1959 or 60. Hunted sheep up in the Brooks in the mid 60s.
Let me know if you draw any of the NE Oregon tags, I’ll share what I know.
Go to Africa. I’m going again this spring, simple can’t get enough of it. Most guys who have concerns don’t like the high fence aspect or not knowing what becomes of the meat. I hunted with an outfit that is 100% free range. Saw plenty of game. Your resulting meat will be well used feeding the families associated with the ranch you hunt, feeding the students at the boarding school your host’s Childern attend and most importantly you’ll eat it every day.
Welcome to hunt talk.
