Hello, all. JLG turned me on to this site from one of the AZ boards and I recognize a few usernames here. But I thought I'd introduce myself anyway.

For those of you who don't know me, my passion is upland birds. I have 2 GSP's that I mainly hunt with, and 2 britts (one pup off for training and the other is the wife's show dog). I've hunted only 5-6 years and have had success with gambles/scaled/mearns quail, blue grouse, and chukar in AZ. I had never hunted outside the state until this fall when I managed to get up to CO for sage grouse, ptarmigan, and mtn sharptails. Then later to ID for huns, chukar, pheasant, and valley quail. My favorite bird to hunt is mearns quail, but chukar is a close second. :)

Here's my main hunting partner, Tucker. He's my best buddy (other than my wife and our two kids ;))...

As for big game hunting, I've only been twice and have taken two decent AZ desert mulies (4x4 and 3x3) with a rifle 2 and 3 years ago. This spring, I have my first javelina and turkey hunts coming up too, so I'm really excited about those.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know some of you, learning a few things, and maybe someday sharing a hunt.

Billy, Welcome to Hunttalk.. Lots of good stories and a few lies always going on. Feel free to jump in any time and share your lies.... Um,, stories.

This was in SE AZ last month with another buddy of ours. We probably all could have limited out on gambles and scalies if we had brought enough shells and water, but decided to give the dogs a rest and then go for the AZ triple crown. So we went searching for mearns instead. I'm looking forward to my next hunt with "Cactus Jack" (as another friend of mine called JLG when he saw this photo). :D
