Thanks to old work connections an old manager of mine contacted me via email and offered me a deal on one of his rifles. I haven't worked with/for him since 2001. I live in NV and he lives in AZ now. I couldn't turn down the deal. Browning X Bolt 300 win mag. Bushnell Elite 3200. He bought it new and shot it 10 times. $500.00. I've never owned a Browning or a 300 win mag. I plan on shooting 165g NP for everything. The old 25-06 will get to rest for a while. Does anyone have any experiences with this combo?

Beautiful gun! On my 300 win mag used 180 grain Barnes bullets.

I bought my son a x-bolt in 300 Win Mag a few years ago. I was actually surprised at how accurate it was with very little tinkering. We loaded up some 165gr Nosler Partitions and he has killed elk and mule deer with it. I prefer 180gr, but the 165's have worked very well.

try running a few bullet weights through it and see what it handles best, my brothers 300 win mag handles 150, 165, and 180s equally well, but I know some are very picky. great buy on a beautiful rifle!
