I started a thread a few weeks back about interest in a Ruger Made lever action with open sights for a walking rifle. I quickly realized after turning 50, my eyes have changed and open sights would be useless for me. So, I went down a different path and decided to take a chance on a Benelli R1 Endurance model in 308. The first group was nothing to brag about. 150 grain Fiocchi ammo. Those are the three closest to the center of the target. The second group was a 3 shot with Barnes 150 grain. I don't consider myself to be a great shot by any stretch of the imagination, but I was pleasantly surprised. I know there isn't a lot of talk about these guns and what you do hear is that they aren't very accurate. I guess I got a decent one. I also own a Benelli Lupo in 270 which is the most consistently accurate deer rifle I've ever shot.
