Nevada for tourist ideas?

Still kicking around the idea of a fly and road trip over the holidays.
Lookinmg at Vegas as a possible jumping point to start because of airfare prices are good there. Any good tourist areas that time of the year in that state besides Vegas, Hoover dam, and the grand canyon?
