I’m new to the forum. Sorry to be asking questions right out of the gate but I’m lookin for a little advice. I drew the archery tag in Nevada 76-81. I’m 11-12 hours from the unit so my scouting will be somewhat limited but I do plan on getting over there. I know it’s a lower elevation area with high temps early. From what I’m hearing, the elk are out really early and really late which makes scouting that much more difficult when you have limited time. Any advice from those that have experience in the area would be greatly appreciated. My plan is to be there for the last 2 weeks of the season but could try to get there earlier. I plan on taking a couple ground blinds and sitting water if needed and then try to get on em with calls towards the end of the season if they start sounding off. Thanks in advance for any advice you fellas could give.
