'Side's they don't screw with you too much in jail for kicking the $hit out of someone for shooting at you!

Thats a shame.
We have a public range I used to visit before rifle season.
But it got too scary with all the unsafe gunhandling bozos.
Thats some serious neglect of the rules of gun safety.
At 10' I would have done the same as you did.
