Masters of the Air is also very good. It may be a series but its only a few 1 hour episodes.

Generation War on Prime is a good counterpoint to Band of Brothers. WWII from the perspective of German teenagers. I found it gripping.

I’ll second that one. The WWII special narrated by Tom Hanks is also really good. It’s also on Prime.
