If you can't find anyone you might want to canvas the military bases. Lots of hunters from the outside that want to make the most of their time in Ak., not sure where to go, in good physical condition, used to roughing it, lots of money saved up while deployed, etc. I spent 6 yrs @ Wainwright in Fairbanks and my first two seasons most of my pay went to outfitters/guides till I started to learn where to go on my own. It wasn't difficult at all for me to put together a small group for a hunt, always had plenty of guys wanting to get in on a trip. Just a thought if nothing else pans out for you. Good Luck
