Need a good sized muledeer cape

This guy had a problem with a taxidermist here in AZ and it ruined his cape and mount.

Probably want to wait until rifle season or the late archery. The hides are still very red in the Mtns. What ruined it? It is important to ask all taxidermist if they Dry Preserve or Tan their hides. Try the taxidermy.net forums. They have a for sale and a wanted section.
