Hey Everyone! This is the first tag I have ever drawn out of state and feeling a little overwhelmed. I have been over to scout, but literally, I drew the conglomerate tag that covers almost the whole NE corner of the state. It's BIG!
So, other than OnX maps and GPS for precise work, is there a better general area/unit I should concentrate on than others? I like spot and stalk lopes, because I guess I am a weirdo and like punishment. I was successful in Colorado last year and know I can get it done, but...There are so many units involved with this tag, I was just looking for a little guidance, nobody's honey hole or anything. So, Kiowa GL or avoid that like the plague? Over by CO/OK border? Near i-25?
Also, does any one know a landowner than charges relatively cheap trespass fees? I have young baby and am not rich by any means, but I'll shell out a little bit if I have to.
Thanks for any help. I can offer SW colorado deer and elk advice in trade. I guided around here for 10 years.

P.s - I posted this on Rokslide also. I'm not really a two timing kinda guy, just coming up against the clock

There are a lot of antelope for sure. Great area. You can always find antelope around Capulin, Clayton, and Springer. Lots of checkerboard, but with all the rain, you shouldn't need to hang out around private water anyway.

Hey Aggie,
I started east of the Canadian by Roy and then ended up all the way north east of Clayton by the end of my 4 day hunt. It was awesome. There was a bunch of failed stalks and a lot of heavy horned bucks. What an extremely lucky draw tag to have! I felt blessed.
I am putting a thread in the Landowner Issues Forum because of an encounter I had. Please feel free to weigh in.
