When I was in my 20's, 30's and 40's I was blessed to take several kids out to get their first deer, chukar, trout, etc. These youngsters were the offspring of friends or coworkers that didn't hunt or fish but were fine with having their kids exposed to it. It was always a treat to see how they would get so excited when that hunting instinct came alive.

Now I am in my 50's and have two boys. They are both in their early teens and better with a gun than I was at their age. I enjoy their hunting success more than I do my own.

My youngest son Logan shot his first buck today. Good Times!

I like those pics, and not just because of the hats. Congrats to Logan. Had to be great day for both of you.

Looks like you could have walked from the house if you had an extra hour or two. Thanks for sharing the events of this special day.

Thought you would recognize that Fin. The kill site was a little over a mile from the house as the crow flies. If you zoom in a little you can see that 500+ feet of white fence that the boys stripped and painted this past summer. They love to paint fence;)

Way to go Logan! Congrats Scott! I remember my oldest sons first buck like it was yesterday, next year the littlest gets a chance!
