My second tme out :)

The vast majority of my hunting has been deer. The last two years I have been fortunate enough to hunt elk here in CO. Last year was my first shot at upland/waterfowl hunting and it was a blast. I got spoiled as it was a hunt on one of Phil Anschutz's private ranches. Well, Friday just as I was getting ready to leave work I got a call that a local hunting club had four slots for a morning hunt Saturday and I was in. We hunted 4 hours in the snow and it was awesome (sorry I don't have more pics). We took 19 birds total, I got 2 roosters and 5 Chukars or that. Weather started with just a few flakes in the air and 26F....ended as you see it and 15F. After a hot lunch in the lodge I headed home with some "poultry" and a great thankfulness for opporunities like this. Much thanks to the members of Rocky Mountain Roosters ( and Cougar and Rio for flushing) for hosting us and making us feel at home.

Not trying to start anything, but if my eyes are seeing correctly there's a Bald Eagle up on that post in the last picture. Isn't that illegal?

That is from Mr. Anschutz lodge. He owns a movie production company and we were told that, along with the Lion, Witch and Wardrobe character "taxidermy" were products of the special effects department.
