My First Elk Story to my Next Elk Story (Fly In?)

After a thoroughly deep investigation into my sordid past, where data was thoroughly analyzed and synthesized, I’ve been approved for my suppressor. They didn’t share the details, but the rumor is that their were lots of arguments and even a vicious game of rock paper scissors to decide. Deadair OTB here we come!

Lesson learned. Scouting is good. 😝 We spent last weekend covering territory. Drive, hike, glass or a variation on repeat. Eliminated a ton and are focused on a few. Thank you to those chucking out ideas. Saw elk, deer, and more. Talked to some people.

I have a plan for next week. Prayers up and enjoy the ride.

Might get a lil sticky out there Friday but should be excellent elk hunting weather opening weekend. Godspeed! Can't wait to see the story!

Best of luck and sweet rig! I just got back from a pretty wild three weeks out west that culminated in a story that you've reminded me shoukd really be written down while it's fresh. Appreciate the motivation and hope you find a stud out there!

Well, loading back up in the AM tomorrow. I have to go check on my Mom first. She was in the hospital yesterday with another bout of atrial fib. All seems “okay.”

Last sight in check with the new suppressor. Very happy. Totally changes the way it shoots. It slows recoil to a rolling thump, less muzzle rise, and no startling bang. It makes an extended whoosh… to be expected I guess.

After getting one, you'll want one on every rifle you shoot!

Good luck, take lots of pics and write everything down. Looking forward to following along!
