A bit off subject though a pisser for myself regarding counts...
R1 has a few landowner swaths that may be damaged though nothing remotely close to other areas of MT. It's not a landowner vs public hunter play w/ #'s in this area, least from my perspective.
Their counts have not done jack squat for the crappy #'s in R1. In fact, last I checked they said the helicopter was not available for counts at several key times (funding). This area should be a limited tag area w/ cow and /b tags scarce. Higher ability to manage predators to assist w/ recovery of our ungulate population, etc.
Counts have been crap for the longest time and nodda done.
Edits: Google auto f-up words on phone... Had to correct some changed (not misspelled and corrected, just flat out changed the word) meh, majority understood what I shared.
