Mrs Valleys Oryx Hunt

SOOOOO AWESOME!!!!

How the heck do you sneak up on an oryx at 20?!?!?! Impressive!!

I have a broken horn tag coming up in January on range. I hope to find some that I have a chance at.

Congrats to you guys! I love those critters.

@JoMo I told him the same thing. How in the world do you get to 20 yards. And, two people...hunting machines.

Hey @Valley1320, thanks for sharing your wife’s hunt as it happened! It was helpful seeing the reality of finding animals on the range and how hard it can be to find them where they could be hunted.

My 13-year-old daughter drew the November youth off-range tag this year, and we’ll be coming from California with four or five hunting days just before Thanksgiving. Looking back, how would you organize the search if you only had that limited amount of time? I’m also curious how rough the roads were and where you stayed during the hunt. Did that location give you good access to the areas you wanted to check, or would you choose a different town or move between locations if you hunted it again?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. We’re hoping to make it a memorable experience for her!
