Moving Trends for 2025

misleading map - you get like 3 folks moving to wyoming and one baby born and suddenly BOOM 26% increase

SC only gained so many because NC is full and overflowing. Their terrible roads have kept them free of transplants for many years but now Charlotte has no more room so they get to deal with it.

If only it were like a joke or something
I’ve been looking into what’s happening in the UK and I’m pretty certain it isn’t a joke. It’s easy to vote for socialist “feel good” agendas till it starts to hit your pocket book. It’s wild the migration of wealth out of the UK.IMG_0541.jpeg
I think anyone that can run a spreadsheet could see how these things can only make sense for so long.

Do you have other ideas on what’s causing the exodus?

Here’s what happens when businesses are taxed too high and decide to move to greener pastures. It ends up trickling down to the working class:

With regard to the OP's graphic and not whatever is going on with the UK, I'd venture there isn't "a single" anything, but a combination of housing affordability, economic opportunities, and quality of the environment (I mean the total environment not just the wild areas or "environmentalism" and that's not the right term for what I'm thinking of, but I can't drum up anything better right now).

A quick google review doesn't lead me to point to taxes as the primary driver. WA, OR, and ID have about the same burdens but vastly different results. Utah has higher taxes than nebraska and kansas but with sharply different outcomes. Honestly, I would point to political climate before taxes, though they are certainly tied together.
