A friend has a big wild game feed here in Iowa. Most everything from around the country that local people harvest.

This year he says he has a suprise..... Mountain Lion roast (someone shot one in Colorado).

As a veterinarian, who works on cats, it turns my stomach when I think about eating a cat. Has anyone ever eaten a Mountain lion??? (if so, how was it cooked & how did it tatse).

good luck to all
the dog

.....haven't had it but have heard it's good. I was a bit surprised when a bud of mine in Colorado told me it's similar to pork. ....was actually kidding when I asked him what it tasted like.

A buddy of mine tricked me into eating it once, he fried some backstrap and called it deer. I would eat it again in a heartbeat, it was delicious!

Tastes like really lean and kind of tough pork. Not a ton of flavor in it.
I really enjoyed eating mine. My wife says it's her favorite game meat she's had.

Delicious! Like others have said, tastes like lean pork. I like the loins cut into chops and chicken fried. A roast done in the crockpot, pulled and mixed with BBQ sauce on a bun is excellent.
