We headed into the hills at 4:45 this morning to try and bugle up some elk. No elk and plenty snow drove us back down to where we saw turkeys and Huns. We shot them, then headed back up to the higher country in search of grouse and got a Blue with the Burgess folding shotgun...

Not a bad day, considering the bad weather...

I love grouse more than anything, but I don’t dare put a cost analysis against the success rate. To date, I have 36 so far this year at the cost of umpteen gallons of gas for travel and almost as many miles in pursuit.

You cannot put a dollar figure on the amount of fun/memories that you have enjoyed. Great job Shrap.
